According to Soccernet, Ghana is considering calling up former Barcelona player Kevin-Prince Boateng for their World Cup playoff against Nigeria due to a shortage of attacking talent.
Following the 2014 World Cup, Boateng resigned from the Ghanaian national team. He has not played for the Black Stars since.
He dumped the Black Stars due to a fallout with the Ghanaian Football association.
The only options left for Ghana at this point in the attack are the Ayew brothers, who did not perform well at the last Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghanasoccernet reports that there could be subtle surprises when the Ghanaian FA release their list, and Boateng could be one of them.
While Nigeria has already announced their 25-man squad for the all-important clash, the Ghanaian FA have kept their squad list close to their chest.
Ghana will face Nigeria in Cape Coast on the 26th, before Nigeria will host them at Moshood Abiola Stadium four days later.
