The Ministry of Information and Culture in a post has described reports claiming the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has denied his comment on the Lekki tollgate as “fake news”.
Lai Mohammed has always insisted that no one died at the Lekki tollgate Endsars protest on October 20, 2020. The Lagos state Jucidial panel of inquiry into the incident, turned in its report to the state government on Monday, November 15, in which it confirmed that some people did die during the shooting incident and that the police and Nigerian Army are culpable of the killings.
The Ministry of Information through its Facebook page has denied claims that the Minister has withdrawn his previous statement. See the post from the Ministry below.
