Two Police Officers Dismissed For 'Refusing ₦8 Million Bribe'

Two Nigerian police officers investigating a car snatching case busted a syndicate that specializes in stealing cars. The search led them to Nasarawa state where the suspects were arrested.

Top officials in the organization bribed two of the officers who arrested them by offering them money worth #8,000,000 naira so the case and the evidence would be destroyed. Due to their refusal to comply with the instructions of the top officers, they were framed up, handcuffed, tortured for 15 days in the presence of the car thieves, and finally dismissed from the Nigerian police force.

This is not good for the image of the Nigerian police force.
