American rapper, Kanye West, has withdrawn from Coachella, indicating that he would not be headlining the music event as previously planned.
According to TMZ, West has decided to cancel his appearance at the festival, which is scheduled to take place from Friday, April 15 to Sunday, April 24.
Kanye West, who now goes by the nickname “Ye,” was scheduled to perform with Billie Eilish and Harry Styles at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

West did not want to walk the stage because of his divorce from Kim Kardashian and his one-sided dispute with “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah, according to the source.
Also, in February, Ye threatened to withdraw from the event if fellow headliner Billie Eilish did not apologize to Travis Scott, his colleague.
Eilish had interrupted her performance during a concert to assist a fan who required an inhaler. “I wait for people to be okay before I keep going,” she said.
This was interpreted by Kanye West as an insult to Scott, who was currently engaged in legal fights following the deaths of ten people and the injuries of several others during his Astroworld Fest event in November.
In March, West was banned from Instagram for 24 hours for insulting comedian Trevor Noah.
This came after Noah criticized Ye for his relentless online harassment of his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
“For the sake of the kids, Kanye has informed Kim he’s not making any public appearances or provocative social media posts, and he’ll go away somewhere to get better,” according to the New York Post.
Grammy has barred him from performing at the ceremony, which took place on Sunday, due to his “concerning internet behavior.”
